JOB HIGHLIGHT
The VP of Revenue Operations & Analytics will oversee a team focused on donor data insights and analysis, ensuring CRM data hygiene, timely donation processing, donor lifecycle creation, and tracking, and providing analytical support to drive performance across all revenue channels and segments.
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will manage and continuously improve the operations of our fundraising teams and the data that supports and informs best-in-class donor acquisition, experiences, and stewardship. Working together with the Finance and Technology teams, you will collaboratively recommend data structures and key metrics, implement data solutions and processes that support automation, moves management functions, and reporting that fuel revenue growth. You’ll focus on improving functions that support effective, analytically driven, and strategic operational decisions throughout prospect/donor lifecycles and end-to-end development processes.
YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR…
● Partnering with the CRO and senior leadership to provide data-driven insights that help define and execute the fundraising strategy
● Designing and delivering self-service tools to empower revenue teams to monitor activity, effectiveness, productivity, and performance
● Building, mentoring, and guiding a high-performing Revenue Operations team to drive revenue growth strategy and donor experience
● Delivering on charity: water's unique business model (proof and transparency) by mapping and systematizing an optimal end-to-end donor process - from donation processing and classification to final donor impact reporting
● Leveraging donor analysis and insights that inform the development of enterprise audience cohort segmentation strategy and donor journeys
● Overseeing management of the Salesforce database; working with Finance and Technology teams to ensure data hygiene, and that data structures can support a single stream of truth to various functions across the organization including performance metrics, product analysis, financial reporting and analysis, and donor reporting
● Integrating the inventory management system with our CRM to enhance efficiency
● Partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure all functions are aligned, to deliver on our donor promise
● Working with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to refine and study multi-year data, donor engagement, and value proposition strategy to drive revenue growth
● Creating and maintaining documentation for all Development Operations processes and protocols
● Taking ownership of the experience and administration for all donor products, including bi-annual donor reporting, and ongoing communications, liaising with Programs, Creative, Marketing, and Product teams to execute on the donor promise
● Collaborating on strategy and coordination for new supporter cultivation and existing supporter stewardship including donor research and prospecting
● Working with the UK charity: water team to streamline reporting for UK donors
● Ensuring key outcomes on data structures and reporting factor in input from all teams using that data or reporting
● Representing fundraising teams in cross-functional projects, as well as project managing fundraising operations initiatives that will impact the allocation of donors and the accuracy of our reporting and stewardship
YOU MUST HAVE…
● Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred
● At least 10 years of progressive experience in revenue operations or strategic fundraising leadership within a nonprofit or sales environment
● Proven experience in overseeing CRM systems (Salesforce expertise preferred), with a strong focus on data hygiene, management, and integration of CRM with inventory management systems to support seamless operations
● Strong ability to analyze donor data and develop insights that inform strategic fundraising initiatives. Experience in designing and implementing metrics-driven strategies that enhance donor acquisition, engagement, and retention
● Exceptional Leadership Skills and demonstrated success in building, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams with a strong team culture
● Extensive knowledge of best practices in philanthropy and donor management
● Experience with advanced data techniques including data mining, complex predictive modeling, and other real-time pattern detection methods
● Experience in creating impactful data visualizations and self-service tools that empower revenue teams to monitor performance and productivity effectively
● Experience presenting insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders

The Revenue team, which includes Development Operations, Key Relationships, Key Relationships Experience, Marketing & Growth, and Brand Partnerships works diligently to support the organization through best-in-class marketing, fundraising, and donor stewardship. They focus on elevating the brand, inspiring current and potential charity: water donors, and finding creative ways to surprise and delight all who engage with the organization’s story.
The Development Operations team is at the core of charity: water’s business model and works to ensure we make good on our donor promise at scale. The team works diligently to bring all teams into alignment around our data infrastructure and donor operations. They are constantly looking for efficiencies and ways to systematize an optimal end-to-end major donor journey, from donation processing to final donor reporting.
