Job Summary

This position oversees all aspects of our organization's technology infrastructure and strategy. The VP of IT is responsible for developing, leading, and facilitating information management, network communications, application development, user support, stays abreast of emerging technologies and provides necessary project management over IT related system implementations and upgrades. This position will lead a team of IT professionals and work closely with the executive team to ensure the effective implementation and management of technology solutions to support the company’s strategic direction and planning.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the availability, integrity, and security of all technology systems and data.
  • Manage and oversee all IT operations, including infrastructure, systems, networks, and security.
  • Enhance current technologies and implement new ones to improve client services.
  • Develop and maintain business continuity plans to mitigate potential risks and ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Recommend and develop policies, procedures, and standards that support the current and future direction of information technology for the company.
  • Develop and implement IT strategies and initiatives aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Assist with the overall business technology planning, providing a current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify technology needs and opportunities for improvement.
  • Responsible for the development and management of the Information Technology budget; Responsible for making recommendations for technology budgeting for all departments within the company.
  • Oversee the implementation of project management methodologies to ensure successful delivery of IT projects.
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals and Analysts, providing guidance, support, and implement professional development plans for all members.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the organization.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the ERP systems.
  • Oversee the configuration and integration of ERP applications with other applications through the enterprise.
  • Inspect classified accounts for compliance with the security regulations and policies regarding protection of classified information and material.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with technology vendors to promote and protect the interests of the company in all matters related to procurement, leasing, maintenance, software support, and service.
  • Responsible for administering security levels as required on a user-to-user basis.
  • Oversee and monitor security and audit trails of access to sensitive system data and utilities.
  • Determine and implement computer resource access limits on a user-to-user basis.
  • Responsible for the planning and annual review of the Information Technology security standards.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive security program based on multiple government standards, services, and audits, including ISO-9001, NIST 800-171 and CMMC L2 cybersecurity requirements.
  • Understand and interact with related disciplines through committees to ensure the consistent application of policies and standards across all technology projects, systems, and services.

Position Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred. Certifications in above mentioned field along with experience mentioned below may be acceptable.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a leadership role within an IT department
  • Innovative thinking and leadership with an ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with contract and vendor negotiations and management including managed services.
  • Experience with enterprise computing across on-premises and cloud virtualized environments.
  • Understanding of ERP/MRP applications and the interoperability between departments.
  • Experience with business intelligence and data analytics tools and platforms (Excel, Power BI, ETL solutions).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in risk management principles and practices.
  • Extensive experience with infrastructure management, including Exchange, Azure, DNS, Entra ID, Exchange Online.
  • Experience with managing complex projects across multifunctional teams.
  • Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as DFARS, ISO-9001, NIST 800-171 and CMMC L2.
  • Experience with system monitoring and automation tools.

Physical Requirements

  • Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person, on the telephone or virtually.
  • Dexterity of hands, fingers, and wrist to operate a computer keyboard, calculator, or assemble/manufacture intricate items.
  • Seeing to read a variety of materials.
  • Sitting or standing for extended period of time.
  • Physical agility to lift 20 pounds to shoulder height.
  • Physical agility to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.

Pay/Salary Information- $185,000.40- $200,000.00 annually
