Responsibilities

We are currently seeking an experienced VP of Global Solutions Consulting to join our Customer Success team as a key leader of our global pre-sales technical teams. This position will report directly to our SVP of Customer Success and is responsible for leading a team of experts who help our prospects and customers understand and experience the impact Workato can have on their businesses. As a crucial part of our team, the successful candidate will be instrumental in creating and maintaining a world-class team that delivers unparalleled customer service.

In this role, you will also be responsible to:

  • Hire, develop, and lead inclusive, engaged, and high-performing pre-sales technical teams.

  • Act as a technical coach, mentor, and problem solver helping with technical escalations and guiding the team in navigating complex technical solutions.

  • Identify gaps, show initiative, and take ownership of building out programs and processes to support the team.

  • Work cross-functionally to drive improvements and increase communication and collaboration across departments such as sales, product, support, enablement, marketing, customer success, post-sales, etc.

  • Develop and grow the team’s skillset through coaching, mentoring, and enablement

  • Directly engage with customers and prospects to build strong relationships and instill confidence in our technology and solutions.

  • Foster a culture of humility and collaboration by exemplifying these traits and coaching team members.

  • Implement a strong management operating cadence to ensure leadership and team activities align with company objectives.

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

  • Proven experience in a leadership role for 5+ years within sales engineering or other similar pre-sales functions, preferably as a Director or above.

  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience working at an integration or automation-focused company is desired.  Equivalent experience in a related field will also be considered.

  • Understanding and experience with common sales methodologies and processes such as MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, SPICED, etc.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information & Computer Technology, Computer Engineering, or similar from an accredited university.  Other degrees may be accepted with compensating technical experience.

  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong coaching skills in value selling and value-based demoing.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Up to 25% travel required
