What We Are Looking For:

We seek a VP, Global Regulatory with extensive experience in U.S.and international telecommunications laws and regulations and managing legal teams across diverse geographic locations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to help lead Bandwidth through complex regulatory and operational challenges for our global operations.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and align regulatory imperatives with Bandwidth’s strategy and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Oversee the team of attorneys and legal professionals that advises the business on a wide range of communications law matters, including regulatory compliance, contract support and global communication service management.
  • Lead, coach, and manage a geographically dispersed team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's success and alignment with company goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior leaders, business units, and cross-functional teams, to manage global regulatory issues.
  • Partner with Bandwidth’s Global Public Policy team to oversee the implementation of regulatory policies, procedures, and best practices to mitigate risks to support Bandwidth’s communications services in jurisdictions around the world.
  • Oversee relationships and arrangements with external regulatory counsel on a global scale.
  • Identify and highlight significant industry trends, legislative developments, and emerging legal issues impacting the telecommunications sector to inform decision-making and strategic planning.

What You Need:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar.
  • At least seven to ten years of relevant legal experience with a focus on U.S. and international communications law, preferably in a public company setting.
  • Proven experience managing legal teams in a global environment, with a strong ability to foster collaboration and drive results.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and across diverse cultures.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to provide sound legal advice in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances with a solutions-oriented approach.
