We are looking for an exceptional VP, Corporate Communications, who will report and report within the Office of the CEO. You will be the chief storyteller of our company, responsible for crafting and delivering a compelling and consistent communication strategy that aligns with our vision, mission, and values. You will oversee all aspects of our internal and external communication, including media relations, crisis communications, and strategic partnerships. You will work closely with key stakeholders across the organization including the CEO, Editor- in- Chief, Chief Strategy Officer, and Head of Sales.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute a comprehensive and integrated communication strategy that supports our business objectives, enhances our brand reputation, and engages our diverse audience.
- Manage our media and agency relations, ensuring that we proactively and effectively communicate our story, achievements, and thought leadership to the relevant media outlets and influencers.
- Oversee our crisis communication, ensuring that we respond swiftly and appropriately to any potential or actual issues that may affect our reputation or operations.

What You Will Bring
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in corporate communication, public relations, or journalism, preferably in a fast-paced and complex environment.
- A proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies that achieve business goals and enhance brand reputation.
- A deep understanding of the media landscape and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets and influencers.
- Strong crisis communication and issue management skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism and discretion.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with various audiences and stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- A strategic and creative mindset and the ability to think outside the box and innovate.
- Existing relationships and experience working with media books.
- A bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, public relations, or a related field. A master's degree is an asset.
Salary expectation: 175,000- 200,000. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
