Volunteer Engagement- Senior Associate

As a valued colleague on our team, you will contribute to the coordination and monitoring the scheduling, pricing, and performance of enterprise programs. In this role, you will ensure adherence to schedules and deadlines, collaborate with team in developing solutions to program issues, and collaborate cross-functionally to coordinate projects, tasks, and operations.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Volunteer Engagement- Senior Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement programs that align with the enterprise's mission and goals.
  • Monitor program updates by defining objectives and overseeing day-to-day activities.
  • Review and provide feedback on program goals and monitor progress.
  • Partner cross-functionally to implement new programs or initiatives.

Serve360 Ambassador Council – Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the Serve360 Ambassador council.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead an Ambassador Program, to increase knowledge of our Serve360 programs, activities, events and benefits of being ambassadors, and empower Ambassadors to create volunteer opportunities and lead others to do the same.
  • With input from the Executive Sponsor, develop and execute volunteerism council roadmap and corresponding activities including policies, procedures, toolkit and frameworks, and provide guidance and training to council members and other internal stakeholders.
  • Research and benchmark best practices and emerging trends and assess and implement recommendations for enhancing our approach and performance.
  • Develop tools to evaluate the effectiveness of the council in support of Serve360 programs. Prepare reports and presentations for leadership on the council’s achievements and areas for improvement. Utilize feedback from ambassadors and stakeholders to refine and improve Serve360 programming.

Rewards & Recognition – responsible for the development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive rewards and recognition program for employee volunteers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and develop a rewards and recognition program that aligns with Fannie Mae’s mission and values. Establish clear criteria for recognizing volunteer contributions at various levels. Launch program with the support of the Serve360 Ambassador Council.
  • Coordinate the selection and distribution of various forms of recognition. Oversee the planning and execution of volunteer appreciation events and related activities.

Volunteer Deployments – responsible for coordinating the mobilization and deployment of volunteers to targeted communities including areas impacted by natural disasters.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with leadership and other internal stakeholders to identify potential locations. Work with vendor and local nonprofits to visit and select sites.
  • Support employee volunteers throughout the application, selection, orientation and volunteer process.
  • Represent Fannie Mae & CIE on site with local nonprofits for the duration of the deployment.

Other

  • Support other CIE activities in partnership with other CIE team members, including Year-Round Volunteering, Skills-Based Volunteering and Matching Gifts administration.

Seeking the following:

  • Collaborative team player with a problem-solving, continuous improvement approach to work
  • Effective communication skills including exceptional analytical and writing skills; ability to influence and present to different audiences and in different formats.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including Executive Sponsor, Council members, employee volunteers and other CIE partners
  • Ability to effectively manage relationships with nonprofit partners and third-party vendors in program portfolio and effectively manage corresponding program budgets
  • Thoughtful project manager with the ability to balance and drive multiple projects concurrently; comfort prioritizing and executing in a fast-moving and dynamic environment.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs. This may include attending and leading events that could be scheduled outside of regular work hours. Up to 20% travel required.
  • Experience with America’s Charities (or similar software) preferred.
  • Experience in social impact or corporate social responsibility is a plus.

  • The group of skills related to Governance and Compliance including creating policies, evaluating compliance, conducting internal investigations, developing data governance, etc.
  • Expertise in service management concepts for networks and related standards such as ITIL practices or SDLC
  • The group of skills related to Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
  • The group of skills related to Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict

Tools

  • Experience using Microsoft Planner
  • Experience using SharePoint
  • Skilled in ServiceNow to manage digital workflows
  • Experience using ProcureOne
