This role is 4 days in the office currently with 1 day from home.

This role is a 12 month fixed term maternity cover contract. We are ideally looking for someone to start in the next 4 weeks.


Role Purpose:

Responsible for the creative & operational vision, implementing and delivering the visual merchandising & photography for DCK Brands, collaborating with the creative teams to achieve brand strategy goals.


Main Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Oversee the creation of VMGs for UK and International brands and ensure all are printed and delivered to the DC, 3 weeks prior to latest in store launch date.
  • Oversee the creation of product pages for the weekly update in Relyses and all store / concession VM communication to the retail teams.
  • Oversee all in store POS for all brands including concessions and own brands.
  • Oversee all Store Environment development for all brands.
  • Manage the VM Opex budgets including cost / supplier base, reporting the VM Opex budget to the leadership team.
  • Ensure all projects are aligned and on schedule.
  • Give Brand Operation Managers a monthly VM update on VM initiatives and discuss feedback in the Retail Ops Meetings as the VM contact for the Retail team.
  • Create and deliver training for the Field team to enable the effective achievement of VM initiatives and guidelines. Agree timings and scope of training events for the field teams with the Retail Operations Manager.
  • Sets parameters and measures for all VM fixtures and presentation trials.
  • Drive VM / Creative update meetings to ensure all projects are aligned and on schedule.
  • Drive store process for key brands, to present / promote our product and importance within the host environment and present key VM messages to host Retail teams, which is cascaded down to host store teams and DCK internal retail teams.
  • Drive VM to ensure all projects are aligned and on schedule.
  • Oversee and sign off VM frequency / Retail team’s VM commutation table for the new year ensuring timelines are feasible for product launches / VM team and multi-branded team in store.
  • Oversee packaging operations, ensuring critical path is met and packaging is managed efficiently for reworks.
  • Develop new fixtures and equipment for all DCK retail space, working closely with the business sponsor and creative team Lead the team to ensure designs are practical and adhere to current H&S guidelines to UK standard as a minimum
  • Identify opportunities to enhance current equipment to reduce costs or increase sales
  • Coordinate VM equipment procurement critical path, managing the procurement of all equipment and fixtures. Overseeing the coordination of movement of VM equipment across the business and communicates any changes to the retail teams.
  • Oversee the creation of order forms for fixtures, collateral items etc. and the allocation of all equipment to stores.
  • Account manage all suppliers in remit, dealing with all snagging, quality issues, price negotiations and invoicing queries.
  • Create and maintain a supply base capable of producing any items needed in Stores.
  • Manage capex costs and ensure budgets are aligned with invoice details before sign off.
  • Forecast, track and manage budget, working with stakeholders to produce budget forecasting, guiding suppliers with this to see where costs could be saved.
  • Negotiate and manage tender processes with suppliers to ensure that the lowest possible price and value is obtained on equipment
  • Consolidate cost evaluation, invoices into summary for each project
  • Assist in developing and maintain historical construction cost data specific to region
  • Oversee the creative budgets, forecasting and reporting the VM creative budget to the leadership team.
  • Oversee and sign off VM photography and graphics frequency ensuring timelines are feasible for product launches.
  • quality and/or enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with law for copyright and data protection.
  • Build solid relationships internally and externally– use strong communication and negotiation skills as well as a positive manner to build relationships and trust with colleagues and customers across all levels and skills sets.
