Vision systems Engineer

  • Lead the planning and execution of vision system programs.
  • Design and implement robust vision systems for defect tracking, quality enhancement, and process optimisation.
  • Ensure the reliability, functionality, and maintenance of vision systems.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external design teams to validate the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of vision system solutions, utilising virtual builds and simulation tools.
  • Leverage your expertise in data acquisition equipment and software to drive process improvements and informed decision-making.
  • Utilise in-house vision systems to drive advancements in manufacturing processes.
  • Continuously engage in refining and enhancing the functionality and performance of vision systems.
  • Provide training and support to production staff for the operation and maintenance of vision systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Exposure to data acquisition equipment and software.
  • Prior experience using Keyence, Incore, or Isra vision systems.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing vision systems within a manufacturing environment.
  • Project management skills to lead vision system projects from inception to completion.
  • Proficiency in programming and configuring vision system software and hardware, including cameras, lighting, and image processing algorithms.
  • Solid understanding of industrial automation, and quality control methodologies.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • 18 to 24 month FTC (Inside IR35)
