About the role:
Neovera/10-D is seeking a Virtual Information Security Officer who will implement and manage Information Security Programs for Applied Compliance Services, LLC. This includes performing policy and procedure development, general control of implementation and management, preparing for third party audits, and regulatory examinations. You'll also be communicating threats, and risks to bank clients including board reporting. You'll be managing risk assessments and participating in meeting as needed as well as assisting with all aspects of managing a healthy information security program.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct IT risk assessments, policy development and reviews, general controls reviews, firewall reviews and preparing draft and final reports for clients.
  • Communicate and work with other vendors of the clients.
  • Facilitate testing and training of all DR and Continuity plans.
  • Facilitate Security Awareness training.
  • Participate in the entire project process from assisting sales with technical questions through report delivery and follow up.
  • Travel as needed to client sites for onsite meetings and reviewing. This will vary with clients and their specific needs; however travel is usually between 5% and 10%.
  • Researching and staying abreast of new technology, standards, and financial industry regulations.
  • Assist in the development of new processes and procedures to improve the Security Advisor role, auditing and assessments.
  • Other duties may be assigned such as: Policy Development, Risk Assessment and Analysis, and Security Awareness Training. Public speaking opportunities may also exist.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Network Support/Administration;
  • Strong verbal and written technical/non-technical communication skills;
  • Detailed oriented;
  • Ability to work independently or on a team;
  • Network security experience;
  • Familiar with information security policies;
  • Experience with penetration testing and vulnerability assessments;
  • Good understanding of auditing functions and security controls;
  • Relevant Information Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA
  • Strong people skills;
  • Professional appearance and mind set;
  • Experience in the Financial Industry a plus.
