POSITION SUMMARY
The Video Production Manager is a key marketing and creative leader responsible for bringing the Sounders FC brand to life through video storytelling. This role will support strategic planning and will drive execution of club video efforts including planning, scheduling of all video needs including matchday, team events, and other club related activities. This individual will work closely with various departments to coordinate resources and meet production timelines, ensuring all video production runs efficiently and align with Sounders content strategy and goals. Additionally, this role will be required to shoot and edit video content as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand Collaboration: Support in development of brand planning and in-season campaign development including jersey releases, playoff efforts, schedule releases and more.

Video Production Management: Lead production of key club initiatives including conceptualization, shooting, and editing of video content for Sounders’ digital platforms, strategic partners, and broadcast channels. Manage execution of weekly and monthly video requirements for broadcast partner Apple TV.

Match & Event Coverage: Attend training sessions and travel with the team for home and away matches to capture match action, behind-the-scenes footage, and player interviews, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the team and athletes. Assist the video and digital team remotely for non-traveling away matches with editing, on the fly content ideas and video publishing.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work with marketing, communications, sponsorship, fan experience, fan development, and social impact teams to align video content with organizational objectives and the overall content strategy.

Social Media Content Support: Develop adaptable video content for social media platforms (X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn) that keeps pace with digital trends as well as engages and grows the fanbase.

Content & Footage Management: Upload and manage videos through the club’s CMS, YouTube, and other file-sharing platforms. This includes logging, archiving, and organizing video footage to optimize management.

Technology Optimization: Leverage technology and AI-driven tools to automate video editing, identify key game moments, and analyze fan engagement to enhance content strategies and efficiencies.

Other duties as assigned in support of our organization and affiliated clubs.
QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience in managing video production logistics, especially within sports or fast-paced environments.

Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Premiere, with proficiency in After Effects preferred.

Hands-on experience with Sony cameras and production equipment.

Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven track record of fostering teamwork, and creating a positive, inclusive work environment.

Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Proficiency in creating video and motion graphics content for platforms including X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn.

A self-starter who thrives in a collaborative team environment and can effectively work across multiple departments and with multiple leaders.

Experience in using technology AI tools to automate routine tasks, analyze footage, and enhance video content.

Ability to quickly adapt to new processes and workflows.

A passion for working in soccer and sports.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

This hybrid role combines remote work with on-site responsibilities at our Headquarters & Training Facility in Renton, WA, home matches at Lumen Field, and select away matches requiring travel.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Must reside within Washington state upon date of hire.

Must be able to facilitate own local travel.

Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

Must be able to carry, load and unload all necessary video/camera equipment – 25 to 50 pounds

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000. Base pay at time of offer will take into account job-related knowledge, skills and experience required for the role, internal equity and market.
