Bungie is seeking an innovative, passionate, and market-savvy Video Editor to craft stories around the games that inspire friendships. You will be responsible for creating content ranging from social spots and GIFs, to livestream recaps and short form videos. The Video Editor must be capable of performing every task in the video production pipeline--from edit and motion GFX creation, to finish and delivery. This role also requires strong organizational skills to maintain our asset archival systems, including new and legacy visual content.
The Video Editor will work closely with the Capture Artist, Senior Content Manager, and Senior Visual Designer and will report to the Sr. Multi-Media Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create high-quality short form video assets for all Bungie franchises, from concept, through production, to final delivery. This includes:
- Ingesting and transcoding footage from live action shoots
- Editing together video assets containing game capture, live action footage, and/or motion GFX
- Creating motion GFX from scratch, or modifying existing GFX packages for use in videos
- Color grading, picture finishing, audio mixing, and QCing final video assets
- Exporting final files based on required delivery specs
- Archiving delivery packages
- Create and maintain metadata and naming conventions for all footage and GFX assets; ability to mine past projects for archival media that meets new creative requests
- Collaborate closely with the Capture Artist to create social GIFs
- Address feedback from Senior Content Managers and Brand Marketing stakeholders; develop edit solutions that balance creative vision with production realities
- Actively engage in the creative process for both post-production and live-production needs
- Consistently seek out resources, methods, and trends to innovate in the video production space
- Collaborate with Creative and Marketing stakeholders to drive the production of content in a variety of styles and techniques, while working within the brand and style guides across multiple IPs
REQUIRED SKILLS
- 5+ years experience creating video content for games at an agency, developer, or as part of a publishing or marketing team
- Strong editing & motion graphics skills that lead to compelling and visually interesting storytelling
- Knowledge of finishing and delivery workflows, such as mixing audio to web-appropriate levels, creating texted and textless files, transcoding, and metadata best practices
- Ability to provide concise and practical constructive feedback around game capture and content creation
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate diverse skill sets, learning types, and personality types
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Experience with color correction
- Experience with video localization workflows
- Experience with video game development
- Familiarity with Bungie's current and past releases
