POSITION SUMMARY 

The Video Analyst will manage the capture, editing, and dissemination of all performance and technical videos for First Team training sessions and home games. In addition, the Video Analyst will be responsible for clipping matches of upcoming opponents. The Video Analyst will also identify and implement the most efficient and effective production workflow, including researching new software and services for video capture, editing, and dissemination.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Attend First Team training sessions, meetings, home games, and selected away matches as directed.
• Manage video capture and editing for all training sessions and home games.
• Prepare clips from training sessions and away matches.
• Oversee video production and distribution for all training sessions and games.
• Assist with opponent scouting.
• Organize and facilitate individual training and game clips for players.
• Manage the team platform for video uploads and sharing.
• Develop a comprehensive video analysis program for training sessions and games.
• Establish and manage technology for recording training sessions.
• Create a structured club-specific coding system for games and training sessions.
• Collaborate on weekly position-specific video presentations.
• Assist in creating next opponent video presentations.
• Participate in planning meetings with sports science and performance staff.
• Assist in evaluating potential scouting targets.
• Provide video support for training sessions as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or related education/work experience.
• US Soccer or UEFA B (or higher) coaching license.
• Certification to operate drone and video cameras.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks, especially time-sensitive ones.
• Excellent time management, dependability, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Expertise in professional soccer.
• Proficiency in handling large video files and managing databases.
• Understanding of technical formations, lineups, and strategies.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Spanish or a second language is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

• This is an in-person position working from Starfire Sports Complex and Lumen Field.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must reside within Washington state upon date of hire.
• Must be able to facilitate own local travel.
• Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Responsibilities include regular work outdoors and may require standing on feet for long periods of time, as well as some lifting of up to 20 pounds.

The annual salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000. Base pay at time of offer will take into account job-related knowledge, skills and experience required for the role, internal equity and market.
