Vice President, Strategy and Operations

The Vice President of Strategy & Operations is responsible for leading the strategic planning process and operational efficiency of the organization. This role will drive the execution of key initiatives, optimize processes, and ensure alignment across departments to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the teams’ strategic vision and establish long-term objectives.
  • Establish a prioritization process and capacity planning model. 
  • Define strategic vision for transformational initiatives across Go To Market and G&A functions.
  • Develop, and design success criteria (OKRs and KPIs) (e.g., business metrics, employee NPS, resource utilization, talent progression, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align strategic priorities across the organization.
  • Identification of critical cross functional initiatives that will scale the organization and enable automation of process and technology.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop team to drive talent retention and become talent feed into key leadership roles within broader company.
  • Oversee and ensure quality of complex, multi-staged strategy engagements led by directors.
  • Oversee a team of technical program managers responsible for strategic programs.
  • Work with the team to drive improvements to operational rhythm and cadence across Dynatrace.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

  • Foster a culture of collaboration and communication among departments.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to support strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Serve as a liaison between departments to ensure cohesion and alignment.

Performance Measurement:

  • Scope projects, structure problem statements, build workplans, and align on deliverables and milestones in partnership with key stakeholders to deliver top-tier work.
  • Develop, design and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and scorecards to support projects and transformation programs (leading indicators, trailing performance) and work with Data team to operationalize where required to measure success.
  • Analyze performance data to drive informed decision-making.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for the executive team and board.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategy, operations, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing strategic initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in project management and operational optimization.

Compensation and reward: 

  • The base salary range for this role is $220,000 - $300,000. When determining your salary, we consider your experience, skills, education, and work location. 

  • Our total compensation package includes unlimited personal time off, an employee stock purchase plan, and a reward system.  

  • We also offer medical/dental benefits, and a company matching 401(k) plan for retirement.
