As part of Vention's Operations team, reporting to our COO, you will empower
and lead a team of 4, operating a global procurement network made of 70+ suppliers and 1,000+ SKUs. You will be responsible for expanding our strategic and tactical sourcing in
a fast-growth environment as well as developing our global inventory strategy
to support our OTIF target.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of strategic sourcing project and designated departmental spend reduction and process improvement initiatives
- Responsible for sourcing and procurement
- Manage and optimize supplier performance, including contract complianceand reduction in total cost of ownership
- Maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers while effectively resolving performance/capability issues to ensure alignment
- Build and own relationships with internal clients and be responsible for delivery of best-in-class strategic sourcing, contract management, negotiation, and supplier management practices
- Meet metrics set for sourcing and procurement to ensure strategic advantage
- Optimize inventory level for both working capital optimization and parts availability in building an adequate Open to buy tool
- Build procedures for inventory management, ensuring right-sizing of initial inventory level on new SKUs, and subsequent purchases
- Support supplier audits, ensuring proper capacity planning in the context of rapid growth
- Drive master supply agreement contract negotiations across a portfolio of category
- Work closely with a dedicated team of software developers, improving inventory planning software and underlying algorithms
- You have a bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering or Logistics;
- You bring 15+ years’ experience in a senior supply chain position;
- You have experience with hardware (electronic or mechanical components);
- You have strong communication skills and are at ease presenting to employees as well as upper management;
- You have passion for optimizing supply chains and the ability to engage impacted stakeholders in the change;
- You showed the ability to work in a fast-paced (next day deliveries) and high volume (parcel shipments) with energy and enthusiasm;
- You have a strong data analytic background with the ability to run complex analysis independently of the data science team;
- You have experience with a global distribution network with multiple warehouses in Europe, North America, and Asia;
- You have an interest in engineering topics and are curious to learn more.
