The Communications team is responsible for building and enhancing Nielsen’s reputation as the leader in audience measurement and streaming.
The VP of Strategic Partnerships is responsible for driving a comprehensive strategy for Nielsen’s partnerships with industry associations, including identifying new opportunities to accelerate and enhance existing industry relationships in support of Nielsen’s goals. In partnership with external comms, they will provide strategic direction to Nielsen’s executives and stakeholders on major partnership initiatives, including external events and speaking opportunities, leading Nielsen’s participation in various councils and committees. This role will work closely with comms to protect and promote the reputation of Nielsen.
The VP of Strategic Partnerships should be an exceptional relationship builder, have strong communications skills, and a deep understanding of the media, advertising and measurement worlds.
A Little about you: You’re passionate about the media and advertising industry, have deep understanding of the landscape and trends in measurement, streaming, TV, content development, and are focused on building strategic relationships and programming initiatives. You have a solid project management background, are familiar with key trade organizations, and are able to work both collaboratively and autonomously.

Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, plan, and develop a comprehensive partnership strategy for Nielsen with key industry organizations to position Nielsen as an industry leader. This person will work with senior leadership to address Nielsen goals and growth plans across specific audiences and key industry segments.
- Strategize, collaborate, and work creatively to bring both in-person and virtual partnerships to life.
- Own programming support and direction to support Nielsen’s overall communications strategy, via speaker preparation and comprehensive plans for pre/post-event engagement.
- Manage communications with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify future opportunities for new partnerships or growth of existingpartnerships that align with broader Nielsen goals and initiatives.
- Drive execution of contracts and programs, delivering high-quality experiences forcustomers and employees.
- Build and manage budgets for partnerships, events and industry relationships.
- Analyze ROI and develop comprehensive reporting to share the impact ofpartnership activations.
- Work closely with the commercial and consumer marketing teams to developcampaign-specific strategies for Sponsorship Partners.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including events, commercial, marketing, social, PR, community engagement, product, and brand, to ensure maximum engagement across all partnerships.
- Stay up to date on industry trends in sponsorships, key players, and developmentsvia industry organizations, media, and relationships.
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of related experience in media, advertising, measurement space
- Ability to set strategy and execute well
- Ability to work across a highly matrixed organization
- Comfort working in a fast-changing, adaptive environment - with urgency
- Strong writing skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $100,000 - $300,000, which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications, and other business requirements/needs.
