SALES DEPARTMENT

The Sales team is a critical part of the overall organization. As a team, the sales organization is the initial group that interfaces with our clients throughout the sales process and throughout their entire time with Vantage. Sales interacts with various facets of the client’s staff, from field level engineers through to senior executives. Internally, the Sales team brings the solutions together through engineers, construction, operations, and finance teams to ensure that the client’s vision and goals are realized.  

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

This is a sales leadership role responsible for developing and leading the sales strategy and growth into our largest hyperscale clients that are developing data center projects internationally.  The postholder is a key member of the APAC Leadership Group and will actively contribute to the formulation and execution of our wider business strategy.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for the direction, leadership, and management of all sales, business development operations, and marketing for named hyperscaler accounts, which includes:

  • Market competitiveness
  • Pricing
  • Implementing a Value Based - Solution Sales methodology

In the Sales capacity, accountable for:

  • Cultivation of long-term, strategic account relationships at a senior level with C-suite, decision makers and other key stakeholders to develop and close commercial opportunities.
  • Lead/sponsor for bid strategy and our sales responses to match client requirements ranging from typical colocation requirements through to customized or build-to-suit opportunities
  • Active engagement with prospects, partners and key clients to nurture leads and develop pipeline
  • Drive the company’s achievement of its customer acquisition and revenue goals

 

DUTIES

  • Drive the development of international sales strategies across the APAC markets including channels and alternate models where applicable
  • Develop and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer base
  • Directly manage major and critical developing client accounts
  • Responsible for providing annual Sales and Marketing strategy and account plans and providing regular updates, revisions and modifications to the strategy
  • Research and develop strategies and plans which identify marketing opportunities, direct marketing, and new project development
  • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results
  • Develop and manage sales and marketing budgets
  • Represent the company at various industry, community and/or business meetings to promote the company
  • Work with executive team and other leadership to develop long term account and market penetration plans for the company
  • Act as a role model of the Vantage Way and Vantage Company Values
  • Other duties as assigned

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • In-depth knowledge of and demonstrable track record in executive sales leadership roles with at least 5 years of experience in APAC region
  • Proven ability to negotiate multi-million dollar contracts from a business and technical perspective
  • Degree and postgraduate qualifications desirable, and/or equivalent (international) experience
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and strong and confident presentation skills
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with proven ability to effectively communicate, collaborate and gain support from cross functional and geographically diverse stakeholders (internally and externally)
  • Outstanding negotiation management and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems and simplify (for the benefit of the customer and internal stakeholders)
  • Flexible, adaptable and self-directed; able to work in a variety of circumstances; e.g.: remotely, while travelling, across multiple time zones, cross functionally, by project, etc.
  • This position requires an organized individual with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously, work well under pressure, and to prioritize work effort, all with minimal supervision
  • Willing to travel extensively within the APAC Region (& globally, as required) as permitted by prevailing Covid-19 travel restrictions
