Your Mission

As VP People & Culture (m/f/x) you are going to lead and evolve the HR functions of sevDesk. Reporting to the CEO, the role will be focused on the development of sevDesk as a whole. You will manage all aspects of human resources, from talent acquisition to retention strategies, ensuring compliance with German employment laws and regulations. 

Here's how you'll make an impact:

  • You will lead and evolve the HR strategy to support the company's changing needs and growth, ensuring alignment with its financial and operational objectives.
  • You are going to design and implement HR policies on a strategic level that promote our company's mission, vision, and values. I.e. you will ensure role clarity and establish a robust career framework that aligns with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • You are tasked with driving organizational development initiatives that foster a high-performance culture, employee engagement, and continuous learning.
  • You will collaborate with senior leadership to support business strategies through HR initiatives, including change management, leadership development, and succession planning.
  • You are going to lead and develop the People & Culture organization such as Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partnering, People Development & Engagement, People Operations & Controlling. In that way you will be responsible for strategies tailored to meet the needs of a dynamic, technology-driven environment.
  • You must ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations of countries we operate in (DE and AT) and manage employee relations matters with professionalism and integrity.


Your Qualification:

  • You should possess a bachelor's or master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field and have at least eight to ten years of HR experience, with a significant portion in a leadership role, preferably within the SaaS or tech industry.
  • You should demonstrate a proven track record in managing and developing HR functions in a similar-sized technology start-up/scale-up (around 250 employees).
  • In addition to your strong analytical skills and business acumen, you should describe yourself as a hands-on/agile problem solver with exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Due to our plans regarding internationality, it is essential for you to be fluent in both German and English.
  • You possess a strong understanding of everything related to both candidate and employee experience like local labor law.
  • Our headquarter and roughly 70% of our employees are located near Offenburg, Germany. Being present there regularly is required.
