Vice President of Business Development (Remote)

The right candidate should have agency experience with global and US accounts and should also have the ability to work productively with multidisciplinary teams within the agency and the network. The candidate should possess a strong understanding of digital solutions and be able to work in a fast-paced team environment creatively executing business development plans, and framing opportunities and solutions that sell appropriate MDLinx digital solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Including, but not limited to the following:

  • Grow new business opportunities and organically expand existing business at specific assigned accounts through superior account management.
  • Identify and lead all growth opportunities within key domestic and global healthcare clients
  • Creatively propose solutions to both big and small clients in pharma, healthcare with customized solutions for multiple clients.
  • Manage all aspects of the pitch process while collaborating across teams owning strategic and day-to-day management of various internal and external projects.  
  • Set and manage the pitch workflow by scheduling and leading meetings.
  • Put the capabilities of MDLinx in the best possible position for significant client opportunities and manage important business development pitches for new and existing clients as ‘pitch producer’.
  • Help develop, write, and execute creative and informative RFI/RFP presentations that highlight MDLinx capabilities, resources, and services to new and existing business partners. 
  • Provide accurate forecasting and reporting to maintain an accurate budget and goal.
  • Perform administrative duties in association with the sales process.
  • Oversee the final pitch response (proposal, pricing, presentation, etc.) and work directly with strategy and marketing teams to coordinate and manage medical briefing, audience research, interviews, and testing.
  • Utilize forecasting and business analytical skills to take advantage of opportunities and to expand relationships.
  • 8-10 years advertising experience selling to pharma (5 of those years selling online solutions)   
  • Proven track record of closing new business opportunities and building relationships with brand managers and their agencies of record.
  • Ability to analyze, develop, sell in, and manage business strategies, plans and business cases.
  • Prior experience leading new healthcare business pitches.
  • Strong presentation and senior client facing skills.
