Vice President, Media Strategy

As the VP, Media Strategy, you will be the senior-most leader in France within media strategy, reporting to senior leadership and working closely with the Managing Director of France. You'll shape and lead strategic plans for our important clients while also playing an important role in acquiring new business through high-profile RFPs. This leadership position requires a blend of visionary thinking and hands-on expertise across media, data, and integrated marketing. You will guide the strategic direction, influence cross-functional teams, and ensure we deliver the latest, insight-driven strategies that enhance brand performance and achieve results.

You will support both existing clients and new business opportunities, working across different countries and specialisations to provide comprehensive, data-driven media solutions.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership for Clients:

  • You will lead the development of integrated media strategies that solve complex brand challenges for top-tier clients, with a focus on combining digital and offline channels for a holistic approach.
  • You'll be a strategic partner for senior client partners, providing guidance to enhance their digital presence and achieve their goals.
  • Lead media strategy development that uses data insights, consumer understanding, and category trends to create transformative, impactful solutions.

Business Development and New Client Acquisition:

  • Lead strategic responses to RFPs, working with business development teams to create compelling proposals that showcase Jellyfish's unique value proposition and expertise.
  • Influence prospective clients with visionary thinking on the evolving media landscape, demonstrating how Jellyfish can lead their digital transformation across markets.

Data-Driven and Insightful Strategies:

  • Collaborate with the market intelligence team to commission and analyze research (qualitative and quantitative), applying brand tracking, social listening, segmentation, and campaign analysis to inform strategies.
  • Use advanced analytics tools, including brand health tracking and performance measurement, to refine recommendations and ensure they are grounded in data.

Collaboration and Strategic Vision:

  • Work with media planning, creative, content, and data teams to implement integrated strategies that promote both strategic and business outcomes.
  • You'll inspire teams by staying ahead of industry trends, audience behaviours, and latest opportunities in media, data, and content.
  • Represent Jellyfish at industry events, panels, and expertise activities, positioning us as a strategic advisor in digital marketing.

Performance Measurement and Continuous Improvement:

  • Develop performance measurement frameworks for campaigns, ensuring understanding of client goals and establishing processes for optimisation.
  • Ensure strategic briefs are clear and goal focused to deliver measurable results.
  • You'll have 8+ years of experience in Media Strategy, with an understanding of data analytics and integrated marketing across multiple channels.
  • Demonstrated expertise in supporting both existing clients and new business development, with experience leading high-stakes RFPs.
  • Cross-functional leadership skills, able to work with teams across different specialisations and countries.
  • Experience creating visionary strategies while also being able to implement them successfully.
  • Client-centric mindset with experience building lasting, value-driven client relationships.
  • Familiarity with market insights to make informed strategic decisions and increase business growth.
  • Experience navigating and adapting strategies to respond to changing circumstances.
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in French being advantageous.
