We are committed to delivering top-notch services and solutions to our clients. Our Lending department is at the heart of our operations, managing a diverse and robust loan portfolio. We are looking for a visionary leader to join us as the Vice President of Loan Operations.
The Vice President, Loan Operations will lead the operational activities and strategic deliverables for the loan operations team This role will be pivotal in ensuring operational effectiveness, oversight, efficiencies, readiness, and reporting capabilities for our $7.0+ billion loan portfolio. You will collaborate with internal and external partners to optimize our processes and technical platforms, ensuring we meet and exceed our operational goals.
What You Will Do:
- Lead a team to deliver operational effectiveness in managing a portfolio of $7bn+ of construction and debenture loans.
- Ensure appropriate oversight of operations and quality control of portfolio controls and daily loan funding deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure technology tools, processes, data architecture, and human resources deliver programmatic solutions.
- Provide direction and training to the loan operations team to optimize the use of all technical platforms/tools supporting the loan program.
- Oversee the creation, delivery, and reconciliation of regular and ad hoc management reporting requests.
- Create tools, templates, and data to track transactional portfolio data and loan operations systems issues and resolutions.
What We Are Looking For:

- Post-secondary and/or professional learnings in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or other credit risk certifications.
- 10+ years of experience in loan, fixed income, or private credit operations, loan agency, and/or project financing operations/funding/payments.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience with a love of motivating, teaching and growing talent
- Knowledge of the terms and conditions found in loan documentation
- Expertise with loan and credit portfolio data.
- Exceptional MS Excel skills and understanding of data management, governance, and loan data/systems architecture.
- Excellence in ‘numeracy’ including financial reconciliation experience required
- Experience with loan and/or funding operational systems migration and integration is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of construction and/or project financing is desirable.
