IT IFS VP PMO is a key role in our leadership of bringing consistency and quality to our IT Delivery. This role provides support to Project Managers/Scrum Leads on execution and delivery of waterfall/agile projects within agreed timescales to Time, Cost and Quality while bringing the structure for which they will work including processes, support, and tooling. The IT VP PMO is the trusted partner to our Leadership providing oversight and an objective view across our delivery tracking ensuring everyone is aware on status at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end to end structure of IT Change and Support Lifecycle cross IT functions bringing consistency and clarity to initiatives (from Idea through to the outcomes).
- Provide leadership and direction and remove obstacles to ensure Project Managers both internal and 3rd party resources have all the tools and guidance to successfully execute on programs and projects.
- Monitor risks, issues and overall health IT portfolio, escalating projects at risk to the sponsors and IT leadership to raise awareness and provide recommendations to resolve issues.
- Responsible for the design and implementation of strategic, multidisciplinary IT programs.
- Develop, oversee, manage project and program scope, resource and capacity management.
- Responsible for IT Delivery Roadmaps working across Business Partners, Business Owners and Platform Owners.
- Responsible for hiring, coaching and evaluation of performance for Project managers within the portfolio team.
Focus is always on business outcomes and pace to deliver quality.
A VP IT PMO would be expected to have an excellent understanding of the following areas:
- Agile PMO practices – experience of implementing and running across Technology (Lean value add practices).
- Ability to Develop Project Management resources in hybrid methodologies.
- Strong communication across all levels of the organization – technology teams, business SMEs, Leaders.
- Business Focused/Outcome Focused.
- Experience of PMO Tooling – selection, set up, maintain.
- Hands on ability to drive change in culture bringing PMO disciplines to Technology.
Essential:
- 12 + years of experience in Project Management or PMO.
- Proven experience of setting up, maturing IT PMO in complex functions.
- Significant experience coaching/mentoring Project Managers of all levels through continuous delivery and large complex projects.
- Proven ability to influence and be a trusted advisor to senior members including C- Suite.
- Ability to manage priorities and competing needs in a pressure environment moving at pace, problem solving.
- Detail oriented, disciplined in building and driving consistency across our project delivery lifecycle.
- Proven team leadership.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written).
Desirable:
- Project Management experience in end to end lifecycle of complex SaaS Platforms or equivalent complexity.
- Process improvement and lean processes in project management experience.
- Managing conflicts through influencing and negotiating driving toward optimum outcomes.
Qualifications:
To be successful you will have:
Essential: Prince 2, PMP, P30 or equivalent.
Desirable:
- Agile SaFE training to advanced level
- Leadership training
