How you will contribute to LifeNet Health’s success:

The VP & GM of LifeSciences is responsible for developing and executing the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy and action plan to grow and scale the LifeSciences division. Currently leads two different and distinct franchises consisting of Primary Cells & Cell-based Solutions and Biospecimens for Research. Manages a team of medical and operational professionals with significant subject matter expertise. Markets medical and scientific capabilities to clients, working as and in conjunction with business development, sales, and operations teams to develop new customers and build existing established relationships. Responsible for improving existing products, developing and implementing innovative professional marketing programs to ensure successful product launches and continued market share growth of the company’s existing products. Profit and loss responsibility of the franchise.

What You’ll Do:

Strategic Planning /Upstream:

  • Lead the development, launch and implementation of a Life Sciences strategic strategy for two franchises. Accumulates, analyzes, and evaluates key data about the marketplace, including areas such as market size, growth movement, and competition, to help anticipate competitive movements and make recommendations for product positioning in the marketplace. Utilize market research and understanding of the Life Science space: segments, players, needs, goals, processes, workflows, and opportunities to develop a go-to-market (GTM) strategy and action plan to build a funnel across all key LS market segments and achieve quick wins with leading/influential LS targets. Track KPIs and establish a team culture of a "lean startup" with constant experimentation and learning. Develops reasonable and thorough revenue projections for annual budgets & multi-year projections. Validates new product design, functionality and clinical applications with customers as well as developing marketing and sales plans. Works closely with R&D teams to support new product development and launch efforts. Validates new products functionality and applications. Develops and implements pricing and product offering strategies based on customer needs and processing feasibility. Ensures departmental compliance with all regulatory standards.

 

Financial:

 

  • Leads the development and execution of strategic and annual marketing plans for two Lifesciences franchises to include short term, mid-term, and long-term goals and objectives for the respective product families. This includes situational analysis of products, revenue forecasts, competitive analysis, and identification of key opportunities and threats. Evaluates the product-marketing plan to ensure compatibility with LifeNet Health’s mission. Develops and executes product launch strategies. Responsible for all three of Lifesciences’ franchises Profit and Loss performance.

 

Downstream/Commercial:

 

  • Utilizes key communication and promotional tools to establish awareness and feedback from the target audience and potential users. This may involve the utilization of external resources for the development of clinical education programs, sales collateral, marketing materials, and other associated brand awareness activities. Attends and directs the activities associated with the coordination of tradeshow and professional society meetings pertaining to the respective product family.

Relationships/Partnering:

  • Develops and maintains relationships with “key opinion leaders” in the life sciences community relative to the product family to aid in new product development and positioning of current product lines. Plans and oversees KOL activities to support product education, branding, and relationships. Builds relationships and partners with direct sales teams to achieve revenue targets. Works collaboratively and cross-functional with finance, contracts, corporate marketing, R&D, operations, and sales to provide a best-in-class experience for customers and achieves revenue goals.

Leadership:

  • Oversees the day-to-day management of two franchises and provides oversight to assigned teams by leading, guiding, and directing employees to be effective team members. Ensures that everyone is equipped with the right skills, tools, and talents necessary for executing their duties using established people processes. Collaborates and provides ongoing product and service support to representatives of LifeNet Health, customers, and external partners.

Operations:

  • Partners with operations to manage inventory, address backlogs, forecast annual budgets, and improve efficiency. Using LEAN principles, works collaboratively with operations and product development to continuously improve the product by providing voice of the customer.

 

What you’ll bring (Minimum Requirements):

  • Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, Science or related field
    • 12+ years of Experience in Medical Sales/Marketing and Product Management primarily with manufacturers of medical products ideally within the broadly defined market in which the Franchises are based; including upstream and downstream marketing; previous experience interacting with the scientific community.
    • 10+ years in senior leadership roles with direct management responsibilities.
    • 5+ years of experience in the life sciences or related field.
    • 5+ years’ experience development and market introduction of new and transformational products

  • Regulatory & Compliance: Understands cellular therapy concepts, processes, and analytical development, and cGLP requirements as well as regulatory and environmental issues relevant for the cell therapy and services industries
  • Proactive: Values growth opportunities. And can overcome failures, by learning from it through high emotional IQ, curiosity, and leadership

 The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location and the candidate’s qualifications including prior relevant experience.  The pay range for this position is $197,753 to $263,670 annually. 

   

*Actual compensation may be higher based on the successful candidate’s knowledge and relevant experience.    

*This position is also eligible for an annual bonus based on certain criteria being met.
