Vonage is seeking a seasoned and experienced Vice President of AI Strategy and Services who will be responsible for shaping and driving Vonage's AI strategy and initiatives, that is capable of scaling the business, while also identifying potential areas of risk and meeting business and technology needs.
The Vice President of AI, will be tasked with developing and implementing the strategy, technology, process and human capital capable of supporting a scalable, functional and reliable suite of products that increase Vonage’s success in the market. The role will also serve as a technical evangelist for the company, presenting to both external and internal shareholders.
For this critical position, we are seeking a thoughtful, disciplined and passionate executive who will bring significant experience and credibility to the leadership team.
What you will do:
- Drive the AI product and technical teams to accelerate adoption of AI across the product portfolio - turning notifications into conversations wherever you are.
- Have deep domain expertise in AI to drive thought leadership both inside and outside of the company.
- Have the ability to drive, and influence an E2E strategy with a focus on AI as an enabler for the complete product portfolio.
- Balance the technical details of the rapidly changing AI landscape, synthesize it into what is consumable and relevant to Ericsson/Vonage, and drive a cohesive strategy for adoption to drive massive differentiation for our product portfolio which ultimately benefits our customers and developers.
- Work closely with the product & engineering teams to define and execute the AI roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges that can be addressed using AI and machine learning techniques
- Stay current on advancements in AI technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to leverage AI expertise and technologies
- Build and manage a high-performing team of AI professionals, providing mentorship and guidance
What you bring:

- Technical Proficiency: solid grasp of AI technologies, data analytics, and machine learning concepts. This knowledge enables effective communication with technical teams and informed decision-making.
- Ethical Considerations: ability to navigate the ethical implications of AI implementation, ensuring fairness, transparency, and accountability in decision-making processes.
- Change Management: Proficient in creating a culture of continuous learning and adaptation. This is essential to ensure seamless AI adoption, establish robust data governance frameworks to protect privacy, adhere to compliance standards, and build trust among stakeholders.
- 20+ years experience in program management for software or high-tech industry. Cloud technology or experience with Communications Service Providers (CSPs) highly desired in a complex and fast paced environment.
- Must be highly organized, results driven and have executive presence.
