Engadine Veterinary Hospital is seeking a new addition to their veterinary team. There’s plenty of opportunity to grow and develop alongside our team, for experienced and newer veterinarians alike.

Our Practice:
Onsite parking and only a 15-minute walk to the nearest train station. When you first enter Engadine Veterinary Hospital, you will first notice the waiting room’s welcoming energy and lots of natural light. Our treatment area is an open space with everything we need within close proximity. We have 2 consult rooms, 1 sterile surgery suite, and all the bells and whistles you need for a full case work up: (any equipment you’re unfamiliar with we can teach), Digital X-Ray (Brand New!), Idexx Laboratory (LaserCyte, Catalyst), AGFA Digital Radiology, Ultrasonography, iM3 CR7 Dental Digital Radiography unit, iM3 Dental Machine
iCare Tonovet Plus Tonometer, Multi Parameter Anaesthetic Monitor (spO2, temperature, blood pressure), Bair Hugger, Extensive Orthopaedic Equipment and our practice management software is VetlinkPRO.

Engadine is a large community based just below Sydney’s CBD, surrounded by the beauty of the Royal National Park and Dharawal National park. Within minutes of our hospital, you will find many cafe and lunch options, grocery stores, shopping centres, public schools and excellent bush wlaking trails. Our nearest referral hospital is only a 15 minute drive away.
Our People:
Our team consists of 6 Veterinary Nurses and 3 Veterinarians who are all very encouraging of different interests and are keen to teach. We’re an inclusive and supportive team, who encourage the success of each other. We like to maintain a positive attitude, even when faced with difficult challenges and collaborate best when communication is quick and honest. We have team members trained in First Aid and Mental Health First Aid, and prioritise the well-being of our team.

The local community is large, closeknit and quite active in events and online forums. We look aafter a mixture of couples, young families, and older well-established residents. Your Position:
We don’t expect perfection, just an enthusiasm for learning. We require all applicants hold an Australian recognised veterinary degree or eligibility status. The typical roster for our full-time veterinarians is 3 weekdays and 1 in 2 weekends. (Weekends are sole charge and not required of graduates). No after hours or on-call work! We are happy to discuss your ideal number of hours/days per week and want to ensure we are providing you with enough flexibility to have a healthy work-life balance.
