Responsibilities
Backup - Veritas
Applying client requirements in terms of backing up databases and servers according to business requirements
Implementing cyber security requirements in terms of backup management
Backup testing periodically every 6 months to ensure the readiness and validity of the backup
Transfer the backup on external tapes and transfer them outside the information center according to the approved place for storage according to the customer
Updating backup systems according to the company's requirements and cybersecurity
Opening a ticket and solving problems related to backup devices, monitoring and following them up with the manufacturer, following up on the work and scheduling of the backup system on a daily basis
Manage different backup volumes and servers
Follow up with teams to address errors
Sending daily and weekly reports on the status of the system
Test systems periodically in the isolated environment
Respond to a supportive system for implementing backup services
Respond to attend emergencies and emergency meetings until the problem is resolved
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Veritas Backup and Recovery
- Proficiency in Veritas NetBackup, Veritas BackupExec, and Veritas Enterprise Vault
- Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and Unix environments
- Knowledge of tape libraries and virtual tape libraries
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
