About the Job

We are seeking an Associate to join our Ventures team in establishing the Redesign Health India headquarters. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in business innovation and operational excellence, who is eager to help identify and build market-defining healthcare companies in the Indian market. As part of this unique opportunity, you will be instrumental in developing seed-stage startup ideas and working closely with founding teams.

Based in India, you will lead research, prototyping, and the launch of new Operating Companies within the healthcare sector. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with Redesign’s Ventures, Talent, Strategy & Finance, Startup Success, and Legal teams to evaluate and build new businesses, shaping the future of healthcare in the region.

This role will report to one of our Managing Director of New Ventures, who is based in our New York City headquarters/remote. 

Please note this is a contact to hire position and you must be willing to work hours that overlap 5 hours per day with Eastern Standard Time. 

What You’ll Do

  • Explore and analyze markets in the healthcare industry ripe for innovation
  • Aid in the development of thematic research to identify new operating company ideas
  • Collaborate within New Ventures to identify and develop innovative business models in the healthcare space
  • Support business model formation, go-to-market strategy development and strategic partnership opportunities
  • Build financial models and assess KPIs to support funding decisions in collaboration with New Ventures leadership
  • Work with our companies to create detailed operating budgets, model scenarios for cash management, strategic planning and fundraising

What You’ll Need 

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree with a record of high academic achievement.
  • You have 6+ years of combined experience within investment banking, growth equity, venture capital, private equity, corporate development, management consulting, or similar.
  • Healthcare experience and a graduate business degree required
  • What you will bring to the table (Specialized/Technical Skills)
  • You have fluency in business model analysis, investment thesis development, and are experienced in financial modeling and valuation.
  • You are experienced in leading work with minimal oversight and with strong attention to detail
