Re7 Capital is a London-based cryptoasset investment firm. Re7 utilizes our deep crypto network and proprietary data infrastructure to drive investment decisions for a number of fund strategies. Re7 team is a dynamic team with a strong background in investment management, data science and crypto.

Re7 is searching for a Venture Investor focused on identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities in SocialFi. This role involves analyzing market trends, deal scouting, diligencing opportunities, and stakeholder engagement. The Venture Investor will also assess the business models and technological capabilities of prospective and portfolio ventures, as well serve as a crucial information funnel for other Re7 businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Source and lead venture investments in the SocialFi sector within the investment mandate 
  • Lead due diligence of prospective investments: conduct financial analysis and technical research at all stages of the deal flow (incl. financial models, metrics analysis, competitive analysis)
  • Analyze and update market trends through research to guide venture selection decisions and identify opportunities for deployment of capital and other Re7 businesses
  • Collaborate closely with other members of the Re7 team by proactively identifying and relaying information valuable for other Re7 businesses
  • Interviewing crypto communities, founders, and other stakeholders for due diligence and product / UX feedback
  • Provide value-add support to portfolio companies post-investment including business model evaluation and UX as well as maintain target database
  • Building strong relationships with sector entrepreneurs and teams to validate hypotheses
  • Producing thought leadership content (blog, CT)

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a VC or a builder in DeFi / consumer / social
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong network within the SocialFi ecosystem
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Passionate about sourcing deals and building/maintaining a network of long-term relationships
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex concepts and ideas 
  • High conviction around your own analysis, while remaining open minded and flexible to inputs from others
  • Ownership and entrepreneurial mindset with excellent organizational, time management and planning skills
  • Ability to aggregate information from a variety of sources including technical repositories and anecdotal feedback from teams, then draw informed conclusions from incomplete information
  • Know your way around CT / Discord / Dune Analytics / contracts on Etherscan
  • Agile and self-taught in handling datasets, CRMs, and data gathering.
  • Pragmatic and sober probabilistic approach to decision making
