Vehicle Check-in Coordinator - ADESA Sterling, VA

Pay range: $15-17.00 hourly. Depending on experience.

Job Summary:  Ensure vehicles are checked into auction timely and accurately and act as a liaison between manager and check-in team.

Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to the following: 

• Provide excellent customer service
• Perform Check In Duties:
  • Locate assigned units in the check In area.
  • Complete vehicle check-ins according to customer specifications.
  • Provide and record accurate information to computer check-in on each vehicle as it is received for auction (VIN, vehicle numbers, mileage, consignor, make, model, trim package).
  • Use handheld scanners, tablets and printers.
  • Place stickers on vehicles for identification purposes.
  • Ensure units are checked in timely for auction work flow deadlines.
• Other responsibilities:
  • Maintain equipment and tools properly and advise Management or any needed equipment maintenance or breakdown.
  • Practice and promote teamwork at all times.
  • Set a good example or attitude and performance.
  • Practice and promote company core values.

Qualifications:

• Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year previous Check In experience preferred.
• 1 year previous experience in a leadership role preferred.
• General computer knowledge and data entry skills.
