The Head Trainer will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting the trainer team for VAURA and it's corporate-owned studios. In this position, you will uphold and promote VAURA’s brand ethos, ensuring all trainers meet and exceed the company’s high standards.

In addition to your regular teaching hours, you will be responsible for overseeing trainer onboarding, conducting ongoing development and training sessions, and fostering a positive and professional team culture. You will serve as a role model for the team, demonstrating VAURA's values and commitment to exceptional client experiences.

This role requires collaboration with studio management to ensure seamless studio operations and consistency across corporate locations. By embodying VAURA’s values—energised, revitalised, strengthened, and awakened—you will help drive the success and growth of our corporate studios.

Responsibilities

Studio Support:

  • Oversee and organise trainer rostering for corporate studios, ensuring optimal scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Provide support and solutions for trainer-related challenges, including development and quality concerns.
  • Schedule regular check-ins with trainers to maintain open communication and alignment with studio goals.

Performance Appraisals:

  • Assist in conducting performance appraisals to ensure trainers meet and exceed VAURA’s standards.

Onboarding and Training:

  • Facilitate the onboarding and training of new trainers, providing mentorship and support during their integration.
  • Work alongside the online Trainer Induction Program to ensure new trainers are seamlessly onboarded, fully understanding VAURA’s protocols, teaching standards, and expectations.

Role Model and Team Player:

  • Embody VAURA’s brand ethos and inspire the trainer team to do the same.
  • Foster a supportive, collaborative, and professional environment that aligns with VAURA’s culture and values.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the corporate studio Trainers, ensuring consistent communication and alignment with VAURA's standards.
  • Provide direct leadership to the corporate trainer team by setting expectations, conducting performance reviews, and facilitating their ongoing development.

Class Teaching:

Approximately 16 classes taught per week (split across two studios)

  • Be actively involved in the corporate-owned VAURA studio(s) schedule by teaching regularly, ensuring a strong connection with the VAURA brand and the client community.
  • Use teaching hours to stay current with teaching practices, demonstrate leadership by example, and maintain first-hand experience of the trainer’s role, enriching the development of the broader trainer network.
  • These teaching hours will be included as part of the full-time salary.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to maintaining the overall high standards of the corporate studios by supporting studio operations as needed.
  • Assist in identifying areas for improvement within the trainer team and proposing solutions to enhance performance and quality.

Conflict of Interest:

  • Maintain exclusivity by refraining from teaching or being involved with competitor studios or other Pilates concepts during employment with VAURA, ensuring full alignment and commitment to the VAURA brand and values.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate will have...

  • Proven experience as a reformer Pilates Trainer, with a minimum of 3 years teaching.
  • Certification in reformer Pilates
  • Proven leadership experience in a fitness environment, ideally in a supervisory or team management role.
  • Strong understanding of VAURA’s brand ethos, teaching standards, and protocols.
  • Experience in trainer development, including onboarding, mentoring, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage scheduling and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • A track record of maintaining high client satisfaction and team morale.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex challenges effectively and collaboratively.
