This role will require you to work onsite in Sacramento, CA. It is an exciting time to be at Solidigm - come join our Data Center Validation, Reliability and Quality team as a Quality and Reliability Test Development Engineer and work on many industry-leading SSD technologies including the most capable Quadruple Level Cell (QLC) NAND Flash products. As a Solid State Drive SSD Quality and Reliability Test Development Engineer, you will design, validate and optimize software capabilities in an automated and high parallelism environment. You are responsible for developing comprehensive quality tests that will result Solidigm delivering best-in-class quality products.
The Validation, Quality and Reliability Test Development Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Identify failures and research test process/methodologies to enhance coverage, performance and quality and reliability of next generation of NAND SSD technologies.
- Develop infrastructure and tool for test methodologies and reporting quality metrics to ensure strategic failure analysis capabilities for future technologies and products.
- Enable partner teams to identify issues in design, code, tests, or processes that could affect quality, and recommend corrective action to prevent recurrence of problems.
- Perform debug and/or test process monitoring and improvement, allowing for faster time to root cause issues.
- Proliferate training and documentation on debug and/or test methodologies across sites.
- Perform other related duties as required or as directed.
You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/ or work experience. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
Minimum Qualifications:
- The candidate must have a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline. Minimum 2+ years of experience at the BS level in the following areas or minimum 1+years of experience at the MS level
- Technical understanding of Computer Architecture and/or NAND/DRAM/SRAM and/or Operating System
- Demonstrate expertise in software programming using data structures and algorithms, good programming practices and proficient in Java, C/C++, Python, Shell and/or other programming or scripting languages
- Working experience in Windows and Linux OS environment
- Process good communication skills and being capable team player in fast paced project cycle, able to multi-task while not losing sight of priorities/project schedules
- Excellent problem solving and code debug skills, ability to breakdown complex issue using commonality analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
Minimum 6+ months of experience in the following areas:
- Working experience in SSD System validation, Semiconductor devices/processes and Circuit design/Validation, or NAND Flash or other memory technology validation
- Experience in PCIe/NVMe interfaces, and hands-on experience in serial protocols such as UART, I2C, SPI, JTAG
- Working experience in relational database and demonstrate good understanding of statistics
- Sys-admin experience in Windows/Linux operating systems and networking
- Proficient in software source control in a multi-developer environment
For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $76,380 to $120,050. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
