ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES -
Creative Direction
To oversee and provide strategic direction to a team of designers who own UX Strategy & product development for our client's G pillars: Pro, Social, Sim, Core, Create, and Cloud.
Considers cross-bg and discipline learnings to direct a team of designers that aligns with the larger company and brand vision.
Give clear outcomes and success metrics expected from me, the team, and the work at the beginning of any engagement.
Meet with the collective team bi-weekly to receive project updates and support as needed.
Provide feedback on methodology and approach to design framing, visioning, and product development for the project's duration.
Attend extended team design reviews, leadership design reviews, and product gates for the project's duration.
Collaboration
To work in a cross-functional team and create effective collaboration structures/channels to bridge the team with executive producers (business), innovation, research, and other input teams for solution space development.
Work with Design Team, Executive Producers (business), Innovation, Research, and other input teams to identify needs, find effective ways to collaborate, and guide team's appropriately when these are about to kick off.
Evangelize visions and the team’s strategic POVs upwards and downwards in the organization throughout the project duration.
Additional qualifications for this role:
4+years of relevant experience in UX Design
Requires a BA in UX Design or a related degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
Exhibit deep UX Design craft skills and methodologies
Strong portfolio that proves solid process through design solutions and influential storytelling
Physical/ Digital Design experience
Highly driven and proactive self-starter - taking on a task without much context and driving it from end to end.
Believes in collaboration in a multi-disciplinary design environment – not waterfall
Excellent communication skills sharing your design thinking, presenting to all levels of co-workers throughout all stages of design
Willingness to take direction and learn from others
Team Management: Proficient in leading and directing a team of UX Designers.
Works cross-functionally within the design team and multi-functional team.
