We’re looking for a well-rounded UX Designer to join our team as we continue to grow our brand and build cohesive experiences across expanding products. The 1-800 Contacts UX Design Team works to improve our ecommerce storefronts, digital tools, programs, and products. This role is essential in designing customer journeys, interactions and interfaces that drive business results and a premium customer experience.

What you’ll do

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research – interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather user insights

• Advocate for the user, ensuring that their needs are prioritized

• Design various stages of programs and experiences, from journey maps and user flows to wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity user interfaces

• Create new experiences and iterate on existing ones

• Partner with cross-functional product development teams including developers, product managers, QA, and analysts

• Team up with the ones in charge of important projects to design experiences that work across various areas on our website, app, and customer relationship management system.

• Work closely with content designers and writers to create cohesive brand messages and experiences

• Work within our design system and help continue developing it

What you'll need

• A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in UX design (ecommerce is a plus)

• A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of projects, demonstrating a range of skills from research and ideation to final design and implementation

• Strong working knowledge of design and prototyping software (we work in Figma)

• They have a remarkable focus on details and a dedication to producing high-quality work, including their expertise in visual design.

• Excellent communication and people skills, critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills

• The ability to work a hybrid schedule (1-2 days per week) out of our Draper UT office
