As a User Research Intern, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our software by gaining insights into user needs, behaviors, and preferences. Your work will directly impact the design and functionality of our product. We’re seeking a curious and motivated individual who is passionate about user-centered design and eager to learn.
Only candidates in San Diego and San Francisco areas will be considered as occasional in-office meetings will be required. Applications will only be accepted via the web.
Expected Responsibilities
- User Research: Assist in planning, conducting, and analyzing user and market research activities.
- Data Collection: Take notes during usability test sessions and prepare materials for research.
- Insight Presentation: Effectively present research findings to diverse stakeholder audiences through written reports and live presentations.

- Curiosity and Empathy: You should be genuinely interested in understanding users’ perspectives and empathetic toward their needs.
- Research Methods: Familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including usability testing, surveys, and interviews.

- Analytical Thinking: Proficiency in analyzing research data and drawing meaningful insights.
- Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication, both written and verbal.
- Collaboration: Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with designers, developers, and product managers.
Desired Experience
- Educational Background: Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, or related fields.
- Previous Internships or Coursework: Any experience in user research, usability testing, or related areas is a plus.
- Software Tools: Familiarity with tools like Qualtrics, Amplitude, or similar platforms is advantageous.
