Our team is looking for an adaptable, hands-on US Assistant Controller to join our accounting and finance team! As an Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for the operational and technical aspects of the Company’s Financial Statements, guiding leadership decisions with financial information, and providing solutions to improve current accounting processes. You believe in taking ownership and getting things done right and on time. You can manage chaos, create a sense of order, and are willing to dive into detailed accounting issues while juggling ever-changing priorities and demanding deadlines.

What you will do:

  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements with proper schedules and reconciliation.
  • Coordinate and assist with the preparation of regulatory reporting including annual and periodic program review audits. 
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance and CFO as needed.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process 
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. 
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Providing management with timely information vital to the decision-making process
  • Ensure all reporting deadlines are met in accordance with our internal reporting calendar. 
  • Successfully integrates any future acquisitions into Cprime’s financials at the time of acquisition.
  • Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed
  • Maximizes return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.
  • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans.
  • System Experience:
  • Projector (Time & Expense), Salesforce (CRM), Sage Inttact (Accounting GL), PowerBI (Financial Reporting) Preferable – ERP migration exposure

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication as well as good interpersonal and consultation skills.
  • Overall Experience 10 years plus and at least 3 years plus of experience as an Assistant Controller or Assistant Director with a mid-sized IT Company only ($300M+ annual revenue) or larger
  • At least 5 years of experience working with a US-based company.
  • Ability to analyze financial information to ensure its monthly accuracy.
  • Expert in GAAP accounting rules 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with complex formulas (VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Ability to grasp new systems, software, database programs, and client management systems quickly.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Be well-organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills
  • Can pick up things quickly and can easily adapt.
  • Accounting experience with management consulting, real estate/construction, or billable services industries, a plus
  • Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.

Education and Certifications:

  • Chartered Accountant – First Attempt Pass/ rank holders
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA), highly preferred
