Sportradar is hiring an

Unreal Engine Developer (m/f/d)

Bremen, Germany
Full-Time

Sportradar‘s newly founded Sports Virtualisation unit develops innovative and disruptive technology to enable the transition from traditional sports media consumption to new ways to engage with sports. The latest computer vision technology is key to allowing real-time rendering of statistics and virtual ads on top of broadcasts. It also enables the use of skeletal tracking data to render virtual recreations of sports events and transform the way they are experienced. Together with the top leagues and federations around the globe, we are working on our vision for a range of products to increase fan engagement for the world of tomorrow.

We are looking for you to fill the role of Unreal Engine engineer to join the team of talented C++/Blueprint developers and 2D/3D artists to create engaging products using Unreal Engine 5.3 / 5.4. Through the availability of skeletal tracking data of live sports events, completely new products can be produced which use game engine technology in non-standard ways. Generating live streams from cloud-based setup, overproduction of clips in render farms to real-time interactive tools and games are only some of our topics.

THE CHALLENGE:

  • Support our international team of C++ developers and designers in exciting projects as well as doing maintenance and stabilization of running systems.
  • Work in collaboration with our designers, artists and developers in an agile environment
  • Plan and develop new features together with the team either with C++ or using Blueprints in the latest Unreal Engine version.
  • Produce highly optimized and efficient code to guarantee real-time rendering on modern hardware and cloud infrastructure.
  • Create VR/AR experiences for our customers, by using Blueprint visual scripting in the UE, to create the overall flow and UX
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, Game Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Past professional experience working with Unreal Engine 5.0 or newer, in the sports or game development industry
  • Good knowledge of object-oriented programming language C++ and experience working with Blueprint
  • Fundamental understanding of the software development processes
  • Interested in sports, game development, computer graphics, 3D rendering and video streaming technology
  • Strong communication skills, including fluency in English (spoken and written)
  • Familiarity with additional software such as 3ds Max, Maya, Blender, Photoshop, and Substance Painter is advantageous.
  • The extension of complex and performance-optimized software challenges you!
  • Work for and shape one of the fastest-growing digital sports companies in the world at the exciting intersection of sports, media, betting and advertising.
  • A company culture that promotes kindness, sports, physical exercise and team play.
  • Be part of a highly motivated, innovative, and dynamic organization with people from more than 30 nationalities in our offices.
  • Women in Tech community and Sportradar Pride group inside the company inclusive for everyone to participate in
  • An annual performance-related bonus
  • Opportunity for hybrid working.
  • Company pension plan, flexible voucher card, bike leasing and other health care benefits.
