We are seeking a University Relations & Intern Program Manager who will be responsible for developing and executing our university relations and internship programs. This role is a critical component of our strategy to attract, engage, and develop top early-career talent and is key to building a strong talent pipeline in support of our future growth and innovation goals. The ideal candidate will strategically design and manage these programs, ensuring they align with Solidigm’s values, workforce and talent priorities, and DEI initiatives.

Job Purpose

The University Relations & Intern Program Manager is responsible for developing and executing our university relations and internship programs. This role is a critical component of our strategy to attract, engage, and develop top early-career talent and is key to building a strong talent pipeline in support of our future growth and innovation goals. The ideal candidate will strategically design and manage these programs, ensuring they align with our company’s values, workforce and talent priorities, and DEI initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with key universities and academic institutions to enhance our employer brand and attract diverse early-career talent.
  • Develop strategies to engage with faculty, career centers, and student organizations, including organizing campus visits, career fairs, and networking events to attract top students.
  • Design and manage a structured, intentional internship program that provides meaningful work experiences aligned with business needs and talent goals, overseeing the recruiting, onboarding, program development, performance management, and offboarding processes, whilst ensuring that the program supports our DEI objectives and supports a diverse talent pipeline.
  • Develop strategies for converting high-performing interns into full-time employees, ensuring a smooth transition from internship to full-time roles
  • Collaborate with internal teams and key stakeholders to engage team members in university events, including career fairs, on-campus interviews, and virtual events. Ensure strong representation of our company’s values and opportunities at these events.
  • Partner with hiring managers, HRBPs, and the talent acquisition team to identify internship and entry-level role opportunities. Collaborate with the DEI team to ensure all programs align with our broader inclusion and belonging goals.
  • Develop training for Hiring Managers and other stakeholders on how to manage interactions with interns, providing coaching and mentoring opportunities.
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of university and internship programs by tracking key metrics and gathering feedback from participants, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements to optimize outcomes.
  • Design and deliver training, mentoring, and development programs to ensure interns have a meaningful experience that aligns with both their career aspirations and the company’s talent needs.
  • Oversee the budget for university relations and internship programs, ensuring cost-effective use of resources without compromising on program quality or impact.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience managing university relations and internship programs within a fast-paced company, ideally within the technology, memory/storage, or semiconductor industries.
  • Proven experience in building and managing internship programs, with a track record of fostering successful university partnerships.
  • Experience working with higher education institutions and a deep understanding of campus recruitment cycles and student engagement strategies.
  • Experience organizing large-scale recruiting events, career fairs, and networking events.

For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $112,760 to $169,240. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
