In this role, you’ll lead a skilled team of engineers and surveyors to manage the technical aspects of one of the four active mines in our Carlin Portals portfolio. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all engineering functions for the underground operation, including mine planning, design, and scheduling for projects of moderate scope.
Conduct and coordinate site surveys, technical tests, and investigations; interpret findings to generate solutions, and prepare reports with recommendations, schedules, and cost estimates.
Lead engineering work that involves complex and varied challenges, such as conflicting design needs, unique material constraints, and intricate coordination requirements.
Create long-range mine plans, including CAPEX and OPEX estimates, while providing technical expertise for resource and reserve estimations.
Analyze operational metrics to improve efficiencies and identify growth opportunities within the underground mining environment.
Build strong, collaborative relationships with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of activities across the operation.
Manage workload allocation and oversee the output of the site’s engineering and survey teams, ensuring the highest technical standards are met.
Foster an environment of trust, respect, and continuous improvement, emphasizing safety and innovation in all aspects of the operation.
