ABOUT THE ROLE
This role serves to manage the ALU and ALCHE undergraduate degree application and admissions process (full time). The Manager works with internal and external stakeholders to operate the process for undergraduate degrees. The Manager will support the Associate Director of Admissions through leading operations and running the rolling admissions planning for both campuses. This role leads key work streams: ALU Rwanda admissions, ALCHE Mauritius admissions, customer support. The role requires excellent project management skills, communication skills and the ability to lead self and others. As part of an established team that is growing to centralize admissions processes, this person must demonstrate a collaborative working style, great communication and self-directed learning skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the end-to-end undergraduate programs (post) admissions processes for the ALU Rwanda and ALCHE Mauritius campuses.
- Oversee and ensure smooth execution of admissions cycles for undergraduate programs cross-campus, guaranteeing that timelines and deliverables for (post) admissions are met.
- Provide strategic oversight and detailed data reporting on enrolment numbers for all undergraduate programs, monitoring enrolment progress, and implementing proactive problem-solving measures.
- Design and implement innovative undergraduate admissions processes and degree programs for ALU Rwanda and ALCHE Mauritius, working in collaboration with the Associate Director of Admissions.
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, including Recruitment, Tech, Academics, Finance, Student Life, and the Registrar’s Office, ensuring alignment of goals and efficient processes.
- Collaborate with external regulatory stakeholders such as HEC (Rwanda & Mauritius) and NESA to ensure compliance with all HEC policies and internal Admissions policies.
- Manage the process of issuing admissions decisions for undergraduate applicants and ensure communication standards are upheld.
- Identify and report on performance metrics to measure candidate progress, selection efficacy and applicant satisfaction.
- Spearhead special admissions projects such as new program launches, responsible for continuous improvement, scalability, and innovation, with a focus on increasing enrolment numbers and creating a seamless enrolment process across campuses.
- Partner with the Tech team to manage high-level application and Admissions Portal preparation and progression.
- Directly supervise and develop admissions associates (3) and guide the work of application reviewers.
- Oversee the launch of an online undergraduate program and manage the selection process with a dedicated associate.
- Support the Associate Director of Admissions in strategy development and decision-making.
- Other duties in respect of the Company as may be reasonably assigned by your team manager.

REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor’s degree (minimum), a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Strong project management skills, including work planning, prioritization, time management, scheduling, and organization.
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing multiple teams and work streams, and fostering collaboration across diverse groups.
- Ability to work independently while aligning with organizational goals and collaborating with key stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- A self-directed, motivated, and creative problem solver.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 5+ years of experience working in higher education, preferably in admissions, registrar, academic administration, or executive education.
