Business Insider is hiring a UK-based Fellow to join our video team as a video producer/editor on its newest show, “View From Above”.

**Fellowship applications close October 18, 2024**
The Business Insider Fellowship Program is for early career journalists who want to spend six months learning from a newsroom full of passionate, dedicated journalists. Fellows are assigned to teams and become experts in digital storytelling. They produce real work that is distributed to our audience of millions, and by the end of six months, they are prepared for the next phase of their journalism careers. This role requires you to work for 40 hours a week and can be hybrid. Business Insider policies, including the hybrid policy, are continually reviewed and may be subject to change
The team:
‘View From Above’ tells feature-length stories by picking apart satellite imagery. We show how landscapes and communities have changed over time, and reveal surprising features by zooming into high-resolution aerial photos. We deploy OSINT techniques to geolocate user-generated content, and piece together complex visual events. This is a small team and the role will involve both video editing and production duties, working alongside our UK-based Senior Managing Producer and Deputy Executive Producer.
The role will also include assisting our London-based production teams in our video studio.
The ideal candidate will be an avid consumer of our documentary content and be as comfortable with video editing as picking up the phone for a research call. We are also looking for a self-motivated creative for whom a turn of phrase comes just as easily as a slick audio and video edit.
