Job Title: UK Sales Manager
Location: Coventry, Warwickshire
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience) + Bonus Scheme
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and driven UK Sales Manager on behalf of a leading family-owned business in the professional grounds maintenance industry. The Role:
As the UK Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the ‘proactive’ sales activities and driving business growth. This is a hands-on position, where you will be actively involved in developing the sales team, supporting field sales staff, and managing high-level tender documentation to secure major accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and motivate the various proactive sales teams to ensure they achieve their targets and perform to their highest potential.
- Hands-On Sales: Take a proactive role in securing large new clients and overseeing the preparation of tender documentation for major contracts.
- Field Team Support: Provide guidance and support to field sales staff, ensuring they are equipped with the tools and knowledge to succeed.
- Business Development: Focus on onboarding large customers while strengthening relationships with existing clients, aiming for long-term partnerships.
- Strategy & Coordination: Work closely with senior leadership to align sales strategies, drive lead generation, and support marketing initiatives.
- Office-Based Role: This role is primarily based at the company’s head office near Coventry, where you’ll work closely with the wider sales team.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading and developing sales teams.
- Strong background in managing high-level tenders and securing large contracts.
- A hands-on approach to sales with a passion for winning new business.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a consultative selling style.
- Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
- A strategic mindset, with the ability to work closely with senior leadership to shape and deliver sales plans.
