As a UI/UX Designer at Breakwater you will:
- Collaborate with product managers, product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to understand user needs and business requirements.
- Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for web and mobile platforms, focusing on the eGaming experience.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to effectively communicate design ideas.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to iterate on designs and improve user experiences.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UI/UX design and eGaming.
- Work closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs while adhering to design guidelines and standards.
- Provide design guidance and support throughout the development lifecycle, from concept to launch and beyond.
You will be successful if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
- Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer with a focus on eGaming, preferably in the gaming industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX design projects, including web and mobile applications, with an emphasis on eGaming interfaces.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar software.
- Solid understanding of user-centred design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and incorporating feedback into design iterations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of eGaming trends, player behaviours, and game mechanics.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
These qualifications will be considered a strong advantage:
- Experience with motion design and animation for UI/UX interactions.
- Familiarity with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of gamification principles and techniques for enhancing user engagement.
- Experience designing for accessibility and addressing diverse user needs.
- Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
