SRC, Inc. is seeking an Aerospace Engineer with a focus in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). The selected candidate must be a highly motivated, self-directed engineer with experience performing scientific and technical (S&TI) all-source analysis on foreign UAV systems. The Engineer will be a part of a team immersed in high-demand, national-level intelligence reporting.
What You’ll Do
- Perform scientific and technical (S&TI) all-source engineering analysis to discover and exploit key technical characteristics, performance, weapon/subsystem configuration, and fact-of-possession information, as required by the applicable DoD program Life-Cycle Mission Data Plans for select non-US fixed-wing UAV systems and subsystems
- Maintain on-line database records; to include maintenance of images, weapons, capabilities, and performance data
- Effectively collect information and evaluate to determine relevancy and accuracy of systems and subsystems for specified UAVs
- Provide written all-source assessments that meet both ICD 203 and NASIC or other Intelligence Production Center (IPC) analytical tradecraft standards regarding characteristics, performance, capabilities, and vulnerabilities of foreign UAVs
- Document UAV data, to include capturing assessments in databases and published product formats
What You’ll Bring
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, Computer, or Electrical engineering with 6+ years related experience in the areas of aviation, aeronautics, electronics, and/or Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) subsystem and weapon integration
- Professional experience performing unclassified and classified information discovery on the performance, characteristics, capabilities, and vulnerabilities of fixed wing, (Group 1-5) assigned USPACOM developmental and operational unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems and subsystems
- Experience performing classified and unclassified research on performance, characteristics, capabilities, and vulnerabilities of UAVs
- Experience with written all-source assessments that meet ICD 203 and NASIC or other IPC analytical tradecraft standards
- Professional experience in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle research and development, design, and/or flight test
- Demonstrated ability of documenting work, with sourcing, into database records.
- Working knowledge of UAV SATNAV constellations, receiver types and locations, manufacturer specifications, markings, images, and ability to discern deviations from manufacturer specifications
- Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Word applications.
- Experience working with SAVANT/KPS data tools.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated ability to brief findings to customer or managers
- Experience with Intelligence Mission Data and DoD Program Life-Cycle Mission Data Plans.
- Experience identifying datalink and communications systems critical to the operation and functionality of UAV systems
- Must be U.S. citizen
