To support the continuing expansion of IDIADA activities in the UK, we are seeking a suitable professional to join our UK Homologation team. As a Type Approval Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the compliance of our clients' products with regulatory standards and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in client-facing, customer-focused interactions across various vehicle manufacturers.
- Support the CoP Lead for IDIADA UK and the broader network as and when required
- Manage all facility appraisal activities prior to testing in accordance with designation requirements.
- Oversee internal quality activities related to homologation, including managing client feedback processes, supporting ISO 17021 & ISO17025 compliance, and facilitating documentation and process improvements.
- Manage homologation calibrations and serve as a liaison between the Quality department in Spain.
- Awareness of ISO 9001, 17020, 17021 and ISO 17025 standards (essential).
- Qualification as an ISO 9001 Auditor (desirable).
- Level 6 or equivalent qualification in relevant engineering disciplines (other relevant engineering disciplines or experience will be considered).
- Proven knowledge of the automotive industry, including familiarity with Automotive OEM processes and Quality Management Systems.
- Understanding of programme management and familiarity with UCA processes is an advantage.
- Understand calibration and uncertainty values of equipment.
- Familiar with automotive laboratories and vehicle testing methods.
- Fluency in English: Spanisans and advantage but not essential.
- Possession of a full driving license and passport due to the requirement for regular travel, both in the UK and abroad.
- Client-oriented mindset, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Highly developed planning and organisational skills.
