This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and help our organization reach its sales goals and objectives. You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, overseeing sales activities, managing a team of sales professionals and developing business relationships with our customers and suppliers. This role will oversee sales activities for 3 locations with sales focused on 75% service/repair and 25% new product sales.
Essential Functions
- Participation in Leadership Team meetings
- Weekly planning and communication meetings with assigned sales associates
- Identification of target accounts and prospects
- Joint sales calls with sales associates
- Coach and develop sales associates to overcome obstacles, development needs, product knowledge, time and territory management skills, etc.
- Potentially cover open sales territories as needed.
- Sales forecasting for assigning region and territories
- Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service
- Confer with potential customers regarding service needs and advise customers on types of service to purchase
- Interviewing and on boarding of new sales associates
Experience, Education and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, marketing or 2-year technical degree is preferred; OR equivalent combination of related experience, education and training.
- 7+ years of industrial outside sales experience
- 3+ years experience in a sales management/leadership capacity
- Sales and/or management experience within hydraulic / filtration repair is preferred
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills are required
- Computer proficiency is required
- Overnight travel may be required
