We are currently seeking an Outside Sales Representative to support sales within the Dallas / Ft. Worth metro area. The successful candidate will be responsible for all sales activities in assigned accounts and regions. The Outside Sales Representative will manage the quality and consistency of product and service delivery.
Essential Functions
- Manage a designated territory with existing and potential customers
- Contact current and prospective customers to solicit business orders
- Sourcing new sales opportunities through cold calling
- Meeting revenue and margin goals as established by Sales Director
- Recommend products to customers, based upon customer’s needs and interests
- Maintain records, reports and notes on daily orders, phone conversations with customers
- Keep ahead of industry’s developments and apply best practices to areas of improvement
- Resolves customer challenges through investigation, developing solutions and making recommendations to management
- Build and maintain customer relationships; provide customer support with technical product information and preparing thorough and accurate quotes, order acknowledgements, samples, etc.
- Attend training and sales meetings as required to stay current with all company products
- Collaborate with all appropriate departments and personnel to ensure customer satisfaction
- Comply with all company rules, policies and procedures
Experience, Education and Skills
- HS Diploma/GED
- Associates or Bachelors degree in a related field is preferred
- 2+ years outside industrial sales experience
- Knowledge / experience within industrial hose industry is preferred
- Mechanically inclined – able to work in industrial settings that require standing, walking, lifting, etc.
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organizational and follow up skills
- Proficient computer skills including MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and ability to learn and use a CRM system.
- Valid Drivers’s license
- Some overnight travel may be required
