JOB SUMMARY
For Our Future Pennsylvania seeks a Turf Coordination Manager to help manage our canvassing operations within our state operations. You will report to the National Organizing Director while supporting and working collaboratively with them and other HQ staff as well as in state staff to implement a well organized and executed canvassing operation through ensuring the effective dissemination of turf assignments in coordination with HQ and in-state staff, aid in the managing of the turf tracking process with states, participating in the daily QC process as needed, and working with the Data Team on ongoing projects or tasks as assigned. Candidates should possess initiative, strong communications, and cross-collaboration skills to cut across silos to facilitate an effective canvassing operation, ensure information sharing between the National Organizing Director, Team Data, other HQ staff and departments, allies, partners, and in state staff, as well as support in the achievement of program deliverables, advance organizational interests, values, and priorities.
This position is anticipated to run through at least November 14, 2024.
Essential Functions
- Evaluate canvassing needs for state programs on a daily basis
- Organize and schedule precincts and turfs in conjunction with state staff, AV table, and national teams
- Facilitate or assist in dissemination of turf assignments
- Manage turf tracker and all associated documentation on a daily basis
- Assist with turf cutting and data projects as needed
- Assist with daily QC of turfs completed
- Work with national data and organizing teams to prioritize programmatic objectives

Skills and Qualifications
- 1-3 cycles of campaign experience, with at least 1-2 cycles of canvass and turf management experience.
- Ability to work and adapt to changing programmatic needs in a fast paced, multi-project setting.
- Demonstrated success and experience with MiniVan and VAN, particularly with Create A List, My Turfs, My Folders, MiniVan Manager, and other backend VAN functions.
- Demonstrated excellence of turf tracking, turf assignment, and turf dissemination on a large scale.
- Proven success in working with partners and allies to ensure proper turf coordination and assignment with the state staff, AV table, and national teams.
- Demonstrated experience of effective and successful QC best practices to identify fraud and/or training issues.
- Willingness to take initiative while juggling several priorities that may change quickly. Organized with excellent time management skills and ability to hit deadlines.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to navigate conflict and work toward resolution required.
- Willingness to travel, work clear but variable hours, and access to reliable transportation.

Expected Hours of Work
- Normal hours of business are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, employees may be required to work outside of normal business hours including weekends, holidays, and nights.
- Employees are required to abide by certain blackout dates during a campaign cycle or other key deadlines, and generally not allowed to take off during blackout periods. Emergencies are not affected by this policy.
Work Environment
This position is based in our Washington, DC headquarters, which is currently remote and will have a remote option until further notice. Employees will therefore work and interact primarily in a virtual environment for the duration of this temporary position, unless extended. Employees may be required to periodically travel to and/or work out of office locations in Washington, DC or at state offices.
