$25.47/hr + $2.00/hr for CDL's +$.65/hr Shift Premium
Job Summary:
- Load all finished products on trucks to be shipped to customers. Perform other tasks as needed.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review load list and visually check skids, carts and pallets to be loaded.
- Determine trailer space versus material to be loaded for proper load distribution
- Recheck load list for tractor trailer match-up
- Load and unload truck and check weight
- Secure load to prevent damage and shifting
- Upon completion of loading, distribute all necessary paperwork
- Move truck and stage accordingly
- Regular attendance required
- Must be able to safely operate a commercial vehicle and maintain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License, HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
- Band carts and skids
- Must work all physical inventories
- Perform other positions appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of all Shipping Dept. functions and loading procedures applicable to DOT and Company standards.
- Knowledge of safety standards pertaining to Shipping Department
- Ability to operate equipment in a comfortable and safe manner
- Knowledge of hazardous material and safe handling procedures
Minimum Requirements:
- Class A CDL, 1+ years of Shipping experience and 1+ years of over-the-road driving experience
Working Conditions
- Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50lbs)
- Rotating Shift Scheduled 6am-4pm AND 4pm to 2am
Environment:
- Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, temperature extremes, loud noises and bright lights
