The Odds Group in Sportradar offers popular pre-match and in-play trading services, used by over 800 customers worldwide. Our leading-edge data collection pipelines and statistical odds models constantly produce insights for 1000+ matches in ~50 sports, powering sportsbooks across the world.

Our clients can control their own sportsbooks in web interfaces, configuring everything from event and odds creation to market monitoring and result confirmation. 

 

 

THE CHALLENGE:  

Every second of every day the Odds department deliver thousands of real-time messages to our customers from the various data feeds and APIs we build and maintain. There's an ever-increasing need for more content, higher throughput, lowered latency and more customization options in our products. To realize these goals, our teams of 170+ engineers make use of the latest cloud native technologies. To keep all these engineers productive, we need experienced architects that can build and evangelize a cohesive target architecture across all the teams.

 

Odds department is one of the biggest Tribes in Sportradar and you will join the team of Tribe Architects covering 20+ independent squads.
 

You either have some of the skills listed below or you can show aptitude and willingness to develop them:

  • Approach complex problems by breaking them down into simple logical steps
  • Ability to spot sub-optimal organizational processes that keep developers from being productive
  • Promote system designs that are easily deployable, testable and observable
  • A good communicator that can maintain effective working relationships across different roles
  • A pragmatic thinker that can balance technology and business needs
  • Ability to work independently, and identify opportunities for the organization to improve with minimal direction
  • Long experience in working with event driven distributed systems or micro-service architectures.
  • Knowledge and help of adoption of Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Familiarity with some of our technology stack like Java, Typescript, AWS Cloud: EKS, Lambdas, Aurora MySQL, MSK, SNS/SQS, Rabbit MQ, Elasticache, New Relic, REST, gRPC, GitLab, React, Prometheus, Loki, Grafana, Terraform Enterprise, Pact
  • JSON Schemas, OpenAPI, AsyncAPI
