About the role

We are seeking motivated, self-starting, problem-solver and collaborative candidates, with passion for the transportation industry and a strong analytical background. The intern will join our Modelling Team and must be very fluent both in Italian and in English.

The successful candidate will join a team who works on projects, in Italy and abroad, for public and private clients, such as local public transport operators, concessionaires, investment funds, financial entities and public bodies.

Our projects include:

  • Traffic due diligence and transportation planning
  • Developing complex transportation models and related analytical tasks using a range of technical tools (VISUM, VISSIM, Emme, CUBE)
  • Collaboration with colleagues across the business to provide high-quality consulting and differentiated services to our clients

Requirements

Key requisites are:

  • Master’s degree in planning, engineering or related field, ideally with a transportation focus
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with a good knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel);
  • Knowledge of Macrosimulation and/or Microsimulation Network modelling (VISUM/VISSIM);
  • Understanding and application of logit models;
  • Good written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to explain technical details to a non-technical audience and to write reports and presentations in a logical and well-structured way;
  • Ability to work in different teams, as well as independently.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the European Union without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Additional skills will be positively evaluated:

  • Knowledge of GIS software
  • Knowledge of Statistical analysis (R, Stata)
