Position Overview
The Training Specialist is a critical role designed to upskill Hadrian's technician team, focusing on hard skills required in aerospace machining. This position demands a partnership with the factory lead to align on executional needs, supporting both production and R&D machining operations, along with tasks in quality inspection.
Key Responsibilities

Training Strategy Development: Collaborate with the factory lead to identify and meet the training needs for production machining, R&D machining operations, and quality inspection. This involves creating outcome-targeted training plans with clear business value and stringent evaluation mechanisms.

Learning and Efficiency: Master all procedures taught to understand the distinction between possessing a hard technical skill and efficiently applying it within Hadrian's operations. Implement strategies to translate skills into operational efficiency and business value, including on-the-job coaching.

External Collaboration and Insourcing: Engage external subject matter experts to address technical gaps while aiming to develop an internally competent, operationally excellent training system to support Hadrian’s growth.

Innovative Pedagogy: Employ innovative teaching techniques and a comprehensive range of exercises to explore effective methods for learning hard skills. Continuously refine training plans and procedures.

Self-Training System Development: Establish a system that enables technicians to self-train, both independently and in classroom settings. Identify and mentor potential trainers, emphasizing emotional intelligence.

Performance Accountability: Share responsibility with the factory lead for achieving production metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching technical skills.
- Proven track record in deconstructing complex technical procedures into teachable segments, with specific achievements in curriculum development and training execution.
- Competence in understanding and mastering precision machining/inspection techniques.
- Exceptional emotional intelligence with a strong ability to communicate complex information effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to discern and synthesize essential information from complex data.
Nice to Haves
- Prior experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
